Privacy policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026. This is a draft pending legal review.
Senslo is a private space for two people. We built it so that we know as little as possible about you, and so that you stay in control of what your partner sees.
Who we are
The controller of your data is RANDEF s.r.o., Jaurisova 515/4, 140 00 Praha 4, Czech Republic, company ID 09514414. Contact: privacy@senslo.app. We answer within 30 days.
What we store, and why
- Account: your email address, and your name and email from Apple or Google if you sign in with them. We use them to sign you in. Legal basis: contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
- Profile: the first name you give us, and optionally pronouns. Your partner sees them.
- What you write: check-ins (mood, what you need, optional note), answers to questions, list items, memories and photos, gestures such as "send a hug", important dates, relationship stage and goals, and the hints under "What makes me feel cared for". We store them to show them to you and, depending on the privacy label, to your partner. Legal basis: contract.
- Intimacy answers: these can reveal information about your sex life, which the law treats as sensitive. We process them only after you both opt in and give explicit consent (GDPR art. 9(2)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time by turning Intimacy off; you can delete the answers by deleting your account.
- Device and settings: your time zone and language (so the daily question and notifications fit your day), notification preferences, and a push token if you allow notifications.
- Purchases: if you buy Premium, Apple, Google or Stripe processes the payment. We receive only what's needed to know you have Premium (product, status, expiry), via RevenueCat. We never see card details.
- Crash reports: if the app crashes, a technical report (device model, OS version, the code that failed, an anonymous user ID) may be sent to our crash reporting service. It never contains what you wrote. Legal basis: legitimate interest in a working app (art. 6(1)(f)).
We don't use advertising, tracking across apps or websites, analytics profiles, or location. We don't sell your data or share it for advertising.
Who can see what
- Private items (for example gift ideas, or a check-in note you keep to yourself) are visible only to you.
- Shared items are visible to you and your partner.
- Answers to questions are hidden from your partner until you've both answered.
- Our database enforces these rules, not only the app. Our staff don't read your content. Technical access to the database is limited to the people who run the service, and is used only for maintenance or when the law requires it.
Who processes data for us
- Supabase (database, sign-in, file storage), hosting in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany)
- Expo (delivering push notifications; notification text never contains what you wrote)
- RevenueCat (purchase status), Apple, Google and Stripe (payments)
- Resend (sign-in emails)
- Sentry (crash reports, if enabled)
- Apple and Google (sign-in, if you choose it)
Each is bound by a data processing agreement. Where data leaves the EU, it's protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
Until you delete it or delete your account. If you leave a shared space, everything you wrote there is deleted, and your partner keeps what they wrote. Deleted data disappears from backups within [7] days. Invoices and tax records are kept for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can access your data (You → Account → Download my data), correct it, delete it (You → Account → Delete account), take it with you, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent. You can also complain to the Czech data protection authority (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, www.uoou.cz).
Age
Senslo is for adults. You must be at least 18 to use it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before it applies.
